EARL ROBINSON - PRESIDENT AND CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER (CEO)
Earl Robinson is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Alliance Aircraft, as well as an Alliance Aircraft board member. He is also the President of the Chongqing Commercial Aircraft Corporation (CCAC) Joint Venture.
As Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Robinson leads the Alliance Aircraft team in identifying and executing Alliance Aircraft's vision, aircraft design and development, and business strategies. Mr. Robinson works closely with management to remove obstacles and set priorities, objectives, and goals for the Company.
Mr. Robinson has been highly involved in the development of all aspects of the product — the family of aircrafts — and will continue to do so, while also developing and fostering strategic partnerships, marketing and sales objectives, budgets and planning, and securing new financing.
Mr. Robinson has extensive experience in aviation and aircraft design. Earl started his career in aviation as an officer in the United States Navy, where he was assigned as an F4J fighter pilot at NAS Miramar in San Diego, California. This experience, coupled with his four combat cruises to Vietnam and completion of the Navy Fighter Weapons School (better known as "Top Gun"), prepared him for his next opportunity at Northrop Corporation, where he became a Volume Leader on the F18 Proposal to the U.S. Navy. As a Volume Leader, Earl used his extensive knowledge of aviation and aircraft design and implemented a number of design changes to the F18 that resulted in the aircraft becoming twelve (12) times more reliable than the F4J aircraft, requiring substantially fewer man-hours per flight hour for maintenance of the F4J aircraft, and was capable of being operated by forty (40) percent fewer personnel than the F4J. His vision and insight resulted in overall cost savings to Northrop so great that Northrop achieved the maximum contractual award for exceeding all reliability and maintenance requirements.
Due to his early career successes not only in aviation and aircraft design, but in identifying and developing winning solutions to company issues in order to increase efficiency and productivity, while reducing overall company costs, Mr. Robinson quickly began to have significant management opportunities. Mr. Robinson was assigned to the B2 Proposal Team (a highly classified program at that time), drafting a design proposal for the B2 aircraft which ultimately netted Northrop Corporation a $40,000,000,000.00 contract award. Earl served as the manager of the B2 Aircraft Development Program and directly oversaw $16,000,000,000.00 of the program award.
Following his time with Northrop Corporation, Mr. Robinson continued to develop his management and development skills during his careers with Honeywell International, Inc., Textron, and Raytheon Aircraft Corporation. During his tenure with Honeywell, Textron, and Raytheon, Mr. Robinson oversaw the development and sale of various aircraft devices to the United States Navy, including infrared and ultraviolet spectrum sensors and automatic carrier landing systems, as well as managed a $300,000,000.00 development program for the Hawker 4000 Business Jet Program. The Hawker 4000 Business Jet became incredibly successful and created a new segment in the business jet market — Super Mid-Sized Jets — which has become the fastest growing segment in the business jet market.
Due to his substantial experience and management skills, Mr. Robinson was approached by Fairchild Dornier, a German aircraft company, to serve as its President. As President of Fairchild Dornier, Mr. Robinson oversaw the development and conversion of the 328 Turboprop aircraft into the 328 JET, which he was able to accomplish within twenty four (24) months due to his extensive skill in aircraft certification programs. From there, Mr. Robinson designed 728 and 928 JETS and sold a combined 120 aircrafts and 120 options to Lufthansa and Swiss Air. Based on his wealth of knowledge, experience, and continued success in the aviation and aircraft industry, Mr. Robinson created his own aircraft business, Alliance Aircraft, which he has continued to manage since its inception in 1999.
Mr. Robinson attended college at the University of Colorado, receiving a Bachelors of Science degree in Physics.
